Travel across the High Atlas Mountains to explore Morocco’s famous southern architecture. This full-day historical tour takes you through the Tizi n’Tichka pass to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou and the cinema hub of Ouarzazate.

The Itinerary

  • • 7:30 AM - Departure: Early pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation.
  • • Mountain Crossing: Drive along the winding roads of the High Atlas, reaching an elevation of 2,260 meters at the Tizi n'Tichka pass. We will make scheduled stops for photos and coffee.
  • • Guided Tour of Ait Benhaddou: Arrive at the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou. A local guide will walk you through this historic fortified village of clay architecture, explaining its history as a stop on the former caravan route.
  • • Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the Ksar.
  • • Ouarzazate: Continue to the city of Ouarzazate. You will have time to visit the Taourirt Kasbah or the Atlas Film Studios, where many international films have been shot.
  • • 7:00 PM - Return: Arrive back in Marrakech in the early evening.
